About Us

Fifty Years of Flowerpot Making

Established in 1976 by Jim and Dominique Keeling, Whichford Pottery designs and handthrows frostproof terracotta flowerpots in our workshop in Warwickshire.

Jim trained at Wrecclesham Pottery in Farnham, learning the English Country Pottery tradition and together they have revived this tradition. They are have now been joined by their eldest son, Adam, and youngest daughter, Theodora who lead the team of over twenty-five craftsmen and women.

Today, we are one of the few workshops in Britain producing handthrown terracotta flowerpots at scale and we are proud that our pots are well-loved by gardeners all-over-the-world.

Design & Technique

All our pots are designed, thrown on the wheel and decorated in our workshop using time-proven methods and materials. Even our clay is prepared by us from its raw state, giving us confidence in its durability and finish.

Quality & Variety

Over the years our full-range has grown to more than six hundred different flowerpot designs, from tiny seedpans to giant statement urns.
Our terracotta clay provides the optimum porosity to promote healthy root growth and all of our flowerpots carry a 10 Year Frostproof Guarantee.

Team & Community

Here at Whichford, we believe that a team can achieve what would be impossible for an individual. From clay preparation to events, from packing pots to marketing them, we do everything in-house

Our production team are dedicated to designing, throwing, decorating, servicing, kiln loading, packing and delivering your pots whilst our sales team, the marketing department and our gardeners strive to give you the very best Whichford experience.
