Varn Planter in Ash Warm

Based on an original Jim made for himself over ten years ago, these striking square boxes look wonderful planted with specimen bulbs, sprays of ornamental grass or succulents. They are handbuilt and then decorated using a cockleshell to create a rhythmic pattern across the surface, catching ash and flame beautifully during the firing.

Each of our woodfired pots will have a unique colour landscape. Pots in Ash Warm will fall within deep umbers and rich burnt reds with freckles of browns and greens. These pots come from where the flame is most intense.

All our Woodfired Planters feature an Oak Leaf Stamp to mark the first firing of the Whichford Woodfired Kiln.
