Wide Range of Plants for Sale by Derry Watkins

Derry grows plants from all over the world and spends as much time as possible out in the wild looking for new ones.  Her first love was for tender perennials, plants for pots and greenhouses.  This led to several trips to South Africa collecting new species. Trips to Bulgaria Turkey and Kyrgistan have led to many hardy introductions. She is wildly enthusiastic about all her plants.  She writes and teaches both here and abroad, as well as still running her nursery near Bath.  Derry founded Special Plants Nursery thirty years ago.

Talk at 2.30pm by Derry Watkins

"Late Summer Colour”

Too many gardens peak in May and June.  Some of the longest blooming and most beautiful plants don’t get going till July or August, but they often get forgotten in the May-June gardening mania.  Derry will talk about her favourite varieties for adding excitement in late summer and autumn, plus tips for prolonging the flowering of earlier varieties.

Tickets for Derry’s talk £12.50 each. To purchase a ticket for Derry's talk click here.
