A really practical design that will look good anywhere and an ornate version of our Orange Pot range.
Its title refers to the pots first made in Renaissance Tuscany in the 1440s when the Florentine nobility, lead by the Medici clan began a craze for gardens in the ancient Roman style. To decorate these, the architects of the time had the idea of putting citrus trees in very large pots all around the gardens. The best artists of the day, including Lucca della Robbia, were employed to design these pots, and the Whichford design is closely allied to these originals.
