LOVE POTS, LOVE FOOD - A CELEBRATION OF TABLEWARE

Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th April 2010
Weekend Workshop

Toff Milway

Two day Weekend Workshop

Building on the successes of 2008 and 2009, the 2010 Whichford event will be another two day workshop with an exciting mix of talks, demonstrations, masterclasses and a competition with guest potters Clive Bowen, Jill Fanshawe Kato, Adam Keeling, Jim Keeling, Nigel Lambert, Toff Milway and Janice Tchalenko. The new updraft wood-fired earthenware kiln is already under construction, and this will be fired and opened over the course of the weekend.

New this year will be a forum on the future of hand-made pottery in Great Britain which will hopefully give everyone a lot to think about, and a “Potters’ Revel and Feast” on the Saturday evening. This will be a real celebration of “Love Pots Love Food” and will include a demonstration by potter-chef Adrienne Baba. For once, the products of the demonstration – canapés – can be eaten by the viewers!

The weekend will be fun and informative and a great opportunity to learn from some of the most talked about potters in the ceramics world.
