We like to work with our customers to create something special and completely unique.

Large Pots

Large Pots

Using techniques developed here at Whichford Pottery, we can make very big pots to the client's own design - up to 37 inches high x 47 inches wide (94cm x 119cm).

Monograms

Monograms

We can personalise flowerpots with a special design, name or phrase. Monograms can be hand-engraved or a traditional tool used to imprint a series of words around the circumference of a flowerpot.

Crests

Crests and lavish Peacock design

Crests are visually impressive and can be very detailed. Whatever the shape of the crest or size of the pot, we would like to work with you to create personalised flowerpots. A master mould is made by Jim Keeling and stored at the pottery for the exclusive use of the client. It can be used time and again. We have created crested pots for the Marchioness of Salisbury at Hatfield House, The Duke of Marlborough at Blenheim Palace and Kew Gardens, to name just a few.

Restoration

Restoration

We are often involved in re-creating historic designs as part of restoration projects for notable gardens such as Hidcote Manor Gardens, Rydal Hall, Sissinghurst and Hampton Court Palace.

Pots Decorated with 23.5ct Gold

Black and Gold pot

A black glaze is applied to the surface of the pot before it is fired in the kiln. Several layers of 23.5 carat gold leaf are then painstakingly applied by a Master Gilder. The gold leaf will not tarnish and is suitable for external use.

Individual Sculptures

Individual Sculptures

Using a series of innovative techniques and specially formulated architectural clay, Jim Keeling constructs each piece individually, without any use of moulds, worked up to full size from a miniature maquette which has been first approved by the client. Recent commissions include Caliban, Julius Caesar, Ophelia and Ariel for a Shakespeare Garden.

Whichford Pottery is a family-run working pottery; we've been designing and making our world famous frostproof flowerpots in Warwickshire since 1976.
